Judgment Debtor Examinations
Recovering funds that are owing can seem like a daunting and endless task. However, that doesn’t mean you should give up. Put the paralegals at ACS to work for you. Commonly used in the Ontario Justice system, Judgment Debtor Examination is a legal proceeding whereby the debtor is put under oath and required to reveal the whereabouts and disbursements of any and all income, including all income, property, any dispositions of property, plus the potential of any more sources of income in the future.
After this information has been collected the complete report can be provided to the sheriff to issue a writ. From this point, if the Debtor will not voluntarily satisfy the judgment, wage garnishment or other payment recovery process will take place.
